Pinya: Man held for overcharging oxygen cylinder

Bengaluru: Sleuths of Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested a man for allegedly trying to sell an oxygen cylinder at an exorbitant price in the black market.
The arrest comes in the midst of the growing scarcity of medical oxygen in the city following a surge in COVID-19 cases. Several COVID-19 patients, who are experiencing breathing difficulties, are desperately trying to arrange for oxygen cylinders for which demand has shot up in the last few days.
The arrested is identified as Ravi Kumar (36), who is the branch in charge of a factory in Pinya.
It is gathered that he was selling an Oxygen cylinder for Rs 3000 per 47 litres of oxygen, whereas the government rate is only Rs 300 per 47 litres
The arrested has been charged with 420 IPC and sec of 27 of DPCO( Drug Price Conrol Order) 2013 and sec 3 and 7 of EC act at Peenya Police Station.
