Udupi: Six arrested in connection with the attempt-to-murder case of Puttur man

Udupi: Police officials have arrested six people in connection with the attempt-to-murder case of a man named Shyam, a resident of Puttur.
The arrested accused have been identified as Charan, Puneeth, Mohammad Farvez, Abhijith, Shahnawaz and Ratan.
Charan, Puneeth, Farvez and Abhijith from Mathura Comforts near the Rajangana parking area. Shah Nawaz and Rathan were arrested at Adi-Udupi.
It is said that on May 23 at around 8.30 pm victim Shyam was attacked by six accused with lethal weapons with an intent to kill him. Shyam was severely injured and a complaint was filed at the Udupi police station.
The officials confiscated one sword, a talwar, and three two-wheelers were confiscated from the arrested.
It is said that one of the accused, Charan has been charged in a POCSO case and an atrocity case at the Bantwal police station, also a under Arms Act at Suratkal police station.
Another accused Puneet has several cases registered against him at the town police station, CEN station and a ganja case at Manipal police station.
