Hours after Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced that he was ready to quit office if the BJP high command wanted him to go, KPCC President DK Shivakumar opined that the 78-year-old Lingayat leader was issuing a veiled threat and finding his replacement would not be so easy.
Pointing out that political leaders often make statements, as part of their own strategy, Shivakumar said that he is not accept the statement given by CM as true.
Taking a jibe at the infighting between BJP leaders and the recent public spat between IAS officers in Mysuru, Shivakumar said that the state governance has completely failed in administration.
Further he said that 7-8 BJP leaders are aspiring for the CM’s post but given Yediyurappa’s mass following he can’t be easily removed.
“The Congress party is more concerned about the state and its people and not about what happens in the ruling party camp, he said.
