Bengaluru: An incident of a hospital’s staff being attacked by a group for allegedly not meeting the demand to make female staff dress wounds of two people was reported from Kaggadasapura here.
Two men arrived at the Sri Laxmi Hospital on Wednesday claiming they have injured themselves in a road accident.
When male nurses came to check their wounds and dress them, the two demanded that they will only get their wounds dressed from female nurses.
When they were refused, the two shouted profanities at the nurses and one of them phoned and called two others who arrived minutes later.
The four of them then started to attack a male nurse and later the security guard and the billing counter staff who came to stop the fight.
The four then left the hospital after threatening dire consequences.
One of the male nurses later filed a complaint at the Byappanahalli police station.
