Udupi: Assistant director of tourism department dies of Covid-19

Udupi: Assistant director of the tourism department of Udupi, Somashekhar Banavasi, died due to Covid on Monday June 7 at a hospital in Mangaluru.
Somashekhar was a resident of Banavasi, Uttara Kannada district.
In November 2020, he assumed the office of the assistant director. Before joining the tourism department, he worked as a journalist.
He is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.
