In preparation for third wave, govt to conduct health check-up of kids from June 25: Bommai

Haveri: With a possible third wave of infections in mind, Home Minister Bommai said on Tuesday announced the government will conduct health check-ups of kids from June 25 for three months.

Speaking to the reporters, Bommai said, “Experts suggest that the impact of the Covid-19 second wave will be decreased in June. Before the start of the third wave, child health care would be given priority. We will conduct health check-up of children starting from June 25. ”

He further said, ” The program will be held in all the primary health centers of the districts. Also, measures will be taken to prevent malnutrition and improve immunity power in children.”

“The government will also set up specialized Covid care center for children.  Each of these CCCs will even have space for parents to stay and care for their children,” he added
