Bengaluru: Three children were subjected to torture by their father and stepmother in KSRTC Layout, JP Nagar, South Bengaluru.
Police have arrested the accused and rescued two boys, aged six and four, and their three-year-old sister who are undergoing treatment at Victoria Hospital.
It is said that the children faced extreme abuse. Neighbours heard screams and when checked they found that the six-year-old was writhing in pain as his father was leaning on him, gashing his leg with an axle blade.
The other two kids were hiding under the bed. They had multiple cuts and burn injuries all over their bodies. Seeing the neighbours, the father threw the blade and escaped with his wife.
Neighbours claimed that the stepmother would often complain about the kids to the father. The children’s biological mother had passed away a few months ago.
Both the accused have now been arrested and a case under the Juvenile Justice Act and IPC Section 307 (attempted murder) has been registered against them.
