Western Ghats in wide angle: Vistadome compartments in M’luru-B’luru trains from July 7

Mangaluru: Four months after acquiring the wide-windowed and glassed ceiling Vistadome train compartments, the South Western Railways will be adding them to three existing trains between Bengaluru and Mangaluru.
Passengers will now be able to enjoy the scenic view of the Western Ghats between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road railway stations on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru route in these compartments.
The Vistadome compartments will be added to these trains:
– 06211/06212 Yeshwantpur-Karwar-Yeshwantpur tri-weekly express from July 7 from Yeshwantpur and from July 8 from Mangaluru Junction
– 06539/06540 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur weekly special from July 10 from Yeshwantpur and July 11 from Mangaluru Junction
– 06575/06576 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur tri-weekly special (Gomateshwara Express) from July 8 from Yeshwantpur and from July 9 from Mangaluru Junction
Ticket reservations for these compartments will start from July 3 with the fares being the same as that of an Executive Class compartment ticket.
