Mangaluru: BJP State president Nalin Kumar Kateel has said that DK Shivakumar slapping one of their own party workers shows the culture that exists in the Congress.

Speaking to reporters here he said that those of us who are in politics should know that the general public is watching us and the party workers are those who bring the demands and desires of the people to us. So we should treat them with respect.

“No politician should think he is beyond any limit. This is not the right behaviour,” he added.

“This is not the first someone from the Congress has shown such an attitude. Siddaramaiah had once patted his thighs and called for a fight within the Vidhan Soudha. How will those who behave disrespectfully in the temple of democracy respect their party workers and the common people,” Kateel said.

“Check the history of the Congress party, not only for the rowdies but they have been an inspiration for all the bad activities occurring in the country,” he said
