Mangaluru: A city-based areca trading entity lost Rs 2 crore worth of its stock to fraud.
The areca nut trading company had hired two trucks on July 19 and 20 to move more than 290 bags of the nuts to its offices in Rajkot, Gujarat.
The trucks were expected to reach Gujarat on July 24 but did not.
The truck’s drivers are also not contactable and traceable as they have switched off their mobile phones.
A complaint was been filed at the Bunder police station here against the drivers and the transport agency owning the trucks.
