Kushtagi: Husband allegedly strangulates wife to death with mobile charger wire

Kushtagi: An incident where a man allegedly strangulated his wife to death and crushed her face with a stone was reported from here.
The deceased, Manjula Kattimani (25), was working as a lab technician in the COVID-19 ward of the taluk hospital.
She was married to Manjunath Kattimani who is an attendant in a Canara Bank branch in the town.
Manjunath was alleged to be in an extra-marital relationship which was reportedly the cause of quarrels between the couple.
On Thursday night the couple had dinner at a hotel. Manjula shared as status a photo of them have the meal together.
Later, a fight broke out between the two, leading to Manjunath attacking Manjula brutally and murdering her by strangulating her with a mobile charger wire and later smudged her face with a rock.
Manjunath later allegedly escaped after throwing Manjula’s dead body on Koppal road at Kadali Nagar.
A case has now been registered at the Kushtagi police station.
