C N Ashwath Narayan launches 8 new diploma courses

Bengaluru: Higher Education Minister, CN Ashwath Narayan launched 8 new diploma courses with an aim to create a wider array of education and skills-building programs to meet the new demands of the job industry.

The 8 new courses are Alternative Energy Technologies, Cybersecurity, Food Processing and Preservation,  Travel & Tourism, Cloud Computing, Automation and Robotics, Direction screen playwriting and TV production, Cyber-physical system, and security.

Narayan said that the new courses will help in creating more employment opportunities in the state and provide better human resources to the industries.

First-year students will have direct access to the new courses whereas they will be introduced as a special skill subject to the third-year diploma students.

The new courses will be introduced at Gauribidanur, Shirallakoppa, Koodligi, Rabakavi Banahatti, Aurad, SJ Polytechnic at Bengaluru, Channagiri, Koppa, Honnali, and Kapu Colleges.
