Bengaluru: A oath-taking ceremony was held here to formally appoint Raksha Ramaiah as the president of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar said that the party and its youth wing must concentrate on rebuilding from the grassroots.
He added that the failure to make people aware of the pro-poor and progressive policies of the Siddaramaiah government in the State and the Manmohan Singh government in the Centre caused them to lose elections.
Hence he charged all office bearers present at the occasion to build the party from the base.
