Bengaluru: Police raid godowns, seize 16 illegally stored cooking gas cylinders

Bengaluru: The police have reportedly conducted raids in godowns in Bengaluru and seized 16 cooking gas cylinders stored there illegally.
This comes after three people were killed in a blast in a godown in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet, which was triggered by a firecracker explosion.
A senior police officer said, “We will continue raiding godowns in and around Chamarajpet, Goods Shed Road, KR Market, and surrounding areas.”
The police also inspected godowns in the New Tharagupet area that are storing crackers.
On Thursday, in an unfortunate incident cracker boxes exploded outside a godown in Chamarpet. Police arrested the owner of the godown in Chamarajpet where a blast took place on Thursday and killed three people.
As per the police, the explosion was triggered by a firecracker blast. The arrested accused Ganesh Babu, a proprietor of Sri Patrakali Amman Lorry Service Godown had brought a consignment of firecrackers for the upcoming festival season from Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu.
