Byndoor: BJP condemns Muslims for refusing to buy fishes from Hindu sellers at Gangolli

Byndoor: A massive protest was held on October 1 by Hindu Jagarana Vedike against cattle theft and slaughter at Gangolli in the Taluk. Thousands including fisherwomen, fish vendors and other women took part in the protest march.
Following this, Muslims of the region boycotted fish purchases from Gangolli Market. It is said that Muslims were stopping people from buying fish from Hindu sellers.
Condemning the incident, BJP Byndoor Mandal backward classes morcha on Sunday October 11 organized a programme of buying fish from Gangolli market.
Udupi district BJP general secretary, Sadananda Uppinakudru assured the fisherwomen that members of BJP will always support them and people from different parts of this constituency will come to Gangolli to buy fish at the market. He further said that the economic boycott will not last long.
Byndoor BJP backward classes morcha president Santosh Poojary, general secretary, Ganesh Devadiga and Chandra Jogi, secretary, Umesh Mogaveera, Santhosh Poojary and others were present.
