In video before suicide, engineering student says present education system is of no use

Hassan: An engineering student, who died by suicide has in a video message urged Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Vice-Chancellors of universities to overhaul the existing education system.

Stating that the present education system is of no use, the student identified as Hemanth Gowda (20), a resident of Arsikere town ended his life on Monday night by hanging himself at the hostel premises. Apologising to his parents for taking the drastic step, Gowda in the video requested to donate his organs and also urged for the video to be uploaded on news channels, social media platforms

He appealed that his final rites should take place in the presence of Chief Minister, Education Minister and religious seers.

An investigation is underway.
