Ind vs Pak T20 WC: Those celebrating Pakistan’s win will face sedition charges, says Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the UP police to invoke the Sedition law against those who were celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in the T20 Cricket World Cup match that took place on October 24. , informed the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday.
Sharing a snippet of Adityanath’s interview with a news publication reporting the above-mentioned order passed by the Uttar Pradesh government, the CMO in a tweet wrote, “Those celebrating Pakistan’s victory will face sedition charges: CM Yogi Adityanath.”
The remarks were made a day after three Kashmiri students were held for raising objectionable slogans and celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in the T20 Cricket World Cup.
Uttar Pradesh Police has booked seven people in a total of five districts and taken four people in custody after Sunday’s match.
