Two students hospitalised in alleged ragging case

Moodbidri: In an alleged case of ragging, two students have been hospitalized following a brawl between third year and final year engineering students of a private college here on Thursday, October 28.

The injured Sahaz and Muhammed Swaroob are undergoing treatment at a government hospital here.

As per reports, a verbal altercation ensued between the third-year students and final-year students when the former group was making preparations for the ‘traditional day’ programme to be held next Saturday. It is said that the final year students were ragging the juniors and the altercation soon turned into a brawl.

Eight students have been suspended by the college administration. Police have registered a case and an investigation is ongoing.
