B’luru: Bizman kidnapped for failing to repay loan; rescued

Bengaluru: A businessman who had been held captive for faliing to return a loan he took, was rescued by police.
Four accused, identified as Nishchal N, Santosh Kumar, Pradeep G, and Naveen Kumar, were arrested by Avalahalli police for kidnapping D Alexander (55), Times of India reported.
The report said that Nishchal who was a local financier, had loaned Rs 3.5 lakh to Alexander, which he failed to repay. To get the money back, Nishchal along with his 3 applices abducted Alexamder from Parappana Agrahara on February 3.
The accused held Alexander in captivity and made him call his wife and ask her to transfer money to different bank account that they had provided. The victim’s wife paid the abductors Rs 2 lakhs by taking loan and advances from family and friends, TOI reported quoting police sources.
On February 15, the wife reported to the police that her husband was missing. Once the police cmae to know about the financial dealings, they planned a trap to catch the kidnappers.
The woman contacted the kidnappers and lured them to Koramangala by promising to pay Rs 2 lakh in cash. When the unsuspecting captors arrived at the spot, police who were waiting for them, took them into custody and rescued the businessman.
