Mangaluru: Man falls from 5th floor roof while fixing dish antenna; critically injured

Surathkal: A man sustained critical injuries after falling from the 5th-floor roof here on Wednesday evening.

The victim, identified as Manish Kumar (37) a native of the Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, worked as an assistant professor at NITK here.

As per the complaint, a handyman had been called to repair a faulty dish cable antenna at the rented house in the Agraja Apartment complex in Mukka. The fiber roof sheet suddenly broke when Manish was standing on it, the complaint says.

As a result of the fall, Manish sustained internal injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. He is battling life and death in the ICU ward, police said.

A case has been registered in this regard at the Suratkal police station.
