Car owner escapes unhurt after vehicle catches fire

Vitla: The owner of a car escaped unscathed after his Duster vehicle suddenly caught fire near Kodapadav in Vitla here on Sunday.

The incident took place when C Pais, a Kelinja resident was headed to Kodapadavu from Bolantur.

Upon hearing some sound from the engine, Pais brought the car to a stop near the roadside. At this time, Pais noticed a fire and instantly got down from the vehicle.

The car was completely charred in the mishap. Pais informed that the car had been undergone servicing a day before.
