Udupi: Man sexually harasses girl in public, held

Udupi: Udupi police on Wednesday took suo moto action against youth for allegedly sexually harassing a girl student here on Wednesday, April 20.

The accused Neelgama, 26, a resident of Ambalpady has been remanded to judicial custody.

The victim was waiting at a bus stand near Ajjarakadu women’s college when the accused allegedly assaulted her. The victim raised an alarm and nearby locals rushed to her aid.

The youth was caught as he tried to flee the scene and handed over to the police.
