Mangaluru: The state government has failed to comply with the Supreme Court order on Azaan, claimed the founder of Yuva Brigade Chakravarti Sulibele.

He said the SC order prohibits the use of loudspeakers before 6 AM.

Speaking to reporters on Monday in here, he accused the ruling BJP and the opposition parties were in a race to woo Muslim voters.

“UP government removed around 50,000 loudspeakers from religious places. If the Uttar Pradesh government can comply with the court order, why can’t the Karnataka government?” he asked.

Responding to a question by journalists, he said, “Hindu organizations have started chanting Hanuman Chalisa to warn the government to take action against those who violate the law.”
