Ankola: Wife of Yellapura-based hotelier killed in car-lorry collision

Ankola: A woman died on the spot and four others were injured in a car-lorry collision on State Highway 63 in Honnali here on Sunday, June 19.
The deceased Sahana Manjunath Shanbagh was the wife of a prominent hotelier in Yellapura. Sneha (21), Preksha (19), Anita Anand Shanbagh (45) and Achyut Nagesh Shanbagh sustained injuries in the mishap and have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
The family was headed to Ankola from Yellapura to attend a marriage function when a lorry rammed into their Omni vehicle. It is gathered that the driver of the lorry was driving recklessly thus causing the accident.
Ankola police personnel visited the spot and a case has been registered.
