Bengaluru: Rajagopal Nagar Police have arrested four accused of altering the age of a minor girl in the Aadhar Card for marriage.

Manu, Venkatesh, Prabhu, and Mallesh are the accused.

Reportedly, Manu, a resident of Huliyurudurga, a driver, was on frequent visits to his sister-in-law’s house. At this point in time, Manu is said to have forced his in-law’s 17-year-old daughter to love him. When she did not accept, he threatened of killing her. Due to the threat, the minor girl accepted to marry.

On April 16, accused Manu picked the girl from her house in a Tata Ace tempo when there was nobody at home. Later, he has taken to a Lord Ganesha Temple located at the Vidhana Soudha Layout. After marriage, with the help of his three other friends (accused in the case), he altered her age in the Aadhar Card at the Sub Registrar’s office.

Meanwhile, the police sources said that she was sexually abused, and the girl informed the same to her family after a couple of days.

Currently, the four accused are arrested as per the complaint registered on July 12.
