Udupi: The ban on heavy vehicular traffic on NH-169A Agumbe Ghat has been extended till August 30.
However, minibusses and other light vehicles will be allowed to ply on the ghat road, an order of the Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao said.
The hilly road was closed for heavy traffic till July 30, following a landslide at the 11th turn.
NHAI has taken up the repair and reconstruction of the guard wall at the site of the mudslide. As the repair works are still in progress, the ban on heavy vehicle movement has been extended.
