Bengaluru: Union Home minister has strictly instructed the state BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and revenue minister R Ashok, not to come to Delhi requesting cabinet expansion, sources said.
According to party sources, Amit Shah warned the party officials during his ongoing visit to the state. The decision will be taken by the party high command when it sees fit, Shah reportedly said.
A huge change is in the offing at the party and the government level after August 15, BJP sources said. A major cabinet reshuffle, as well as social engineering in preparation for elections, are ongoing, sources added.
Meanwhile, MP from Chamarajanagar V Srinivasa Prasad left for Delhi and visited BJP National General Secretary (Org) BL Santosh there. The fact that this visit took place right after the Siddaramaiah’s Amrita Mahotsav has raised eyebrows.
