Vitla: Man stung by wasps, dies in hospital

A day after being injured in a wasp attack, a 50-year-old man passed away on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shrikrishna Nayak, a resident of Manila village. He used to work as a laborer.

The incident took place on Monday evening near Peruvai. Nayak was seriously injured in the wasp attack and was admitted to a hospital in Puttur.

He however died on Tuesday without responding to the treatment.

He is survived by his wife.
