Bantwal: Thumbe dam decked up with tricolors; open for public viewing

Bantwal: Thumbe dam, which supplies water to Mangaluru city residents, is all decked up in the tricolors of the Indian national flag to mark the 75th year of Indian independence.

Mangaluru City Mayor Premananda Shetty said that the public can view the lighting show from 6 pm to 9 pm from August 13 till August 15 from the basement of the Bantwal Bunt Bhavana.

The initiative was taken under the joint guidance of MLAs Vedavyasa Kamath and Bharath Shetty as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, he added.
