Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada DC KV Rajendra on Saturday ordered the authorities to submit a list of footbridges in the district.

The order comes days after a 7-year-old girl student got washed away in a stream while crossing the footbridge at Bijamakki, Udupi.

The DC has instructed the officials to submit a detailed list of footbridges used by the students in Dakshina Kannada before August 15.

The list will help authorities in devising a plan of action, he added.
