10 lakh students given skill-based training and education: Min Dr. Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru: State Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan said that to date around 10 lakh students have been given skill-based training and education to make them industry-ready.
Inaugurating the job fair under the title “Pragati Patha” organized by the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) on Friday, August 25 he said, “Our state government is in the forefront in preparing students to be job ready. Hence, we have made the incorporation of economic, digital, and technology subjects mandatory in the degree college courses. The expectation levels of companies and industries have gone one scale higher. To match this, we have already given skill-based education to around 10 lakh students”.
“We have already upgraded several courses to current company standards. By this, Karnataka state is in the forefront in terms of quality education and job standards”, he added.
