Bengaluru: Dasara holidays for schools in Dakshina Kannada have been revised. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B C Nagesh issued an order specifying the holidays from September 26 to October 10 for schools in the district.

The changes were made to facilitate the celebration of Mangaluru Dasara, the order said and added a caveat that Gandhi Jayanti shall be celebrated at school on October 2.

Meanwhile, the Dasara holidays in other districts, including Udupi, will remain unchanged. AS notified earlier, holidays for schools in these districts will be from October 3 until October 16.
