A woman has lodged a police complaint blaming her brother for their mother’s death.
The deceased Parvathi Naika (47) had initially been admitted to Kundapura hospital for treatment and was later shifted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru where she died on September 22.
The complainant, Srimathi Naika (30) alleged that her brother Krishna Naika, a resident of Halady village would often physically assault their mother. Srimathi claimed that on September 18, Krishna hit their mother but later filed a report stating that she was inebriated and hurt herself after she slipped and fell on a grinding stone.
