President Murmu undergoes eye surgery

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu, on Sunday,  underwent a surgical procedure for cataract removal cataract at the Army Hospital (Referral and Research) in New Delhi.

According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the surgery was successful, and she has been discharged from the Hospital.

The President had a cataract in her left eye. She was admitted to the Amry Hospital in Delhi cantt around 11:30 am on Sunday for surgery.

Brigadier SK Mishra and his team performed the surgery. After the surgery, the President was discharged from the hospital at around 1:30 pm.

The Army hospital said that the President has been advised to take care.

Before the surgery, President Murmu was on a two-day visit to Assam that concluded on Friday.
