Moodabidri: School bus-car collision on NH 169, car driver severely injured

Moodabidri: In a school-bus car collision on Wednesday, November 2, the person sitting in the driving seat of the car suffered severe injuries.
The collision took place near Alangar on NH 169.
As per the eyewitness, the school bus belonging to St Thomas English Medium School was moving towards Beluvai to drop children at their homes on Wednesday evening. At this point in time, a speeding car bearing number plate KA 09 Z 7481 travelling from Karkala to Moodabidri lost control as the sudden break was applied.
The bus driver who had watched the speeding car coming towards the bus turned the bus to the left side of the road. The bus stopped after hitting an electric pole. At the same time, the speeding car which had lost control after applying a sudden brake rammed into the bus.
Fortunately, the children travelling on the bus were left unhurt.
However, due to the impact, the person who was driving the car suffered a bleeding nose and ears.
As per the eyewitness, another person in the car suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, both the car and the school bus have been damaged.
