Bellari: Unhappy with his daughter’s relationship with a boy from a different community, father drowned her to death.

Omkar Gowda had given several warnings to his daughter, however, she continued her relationship with a boy from a different community.

On October 31, Omkar took her daughter to watch a movie, but they were late for the movie. They then went to a temple and he bought her jewelry from a nearby shop.

After that, he took her to the High-Level Canal and pushed her into a water body. Following the incident, he fled to Tirupati overnight.

Meanwhile, the girl’s mother and brother registered a missing complaint at the Kudathini police station.

On Tuesday when Omkar Gowda returned back home, the police arretsed him. When questioned he confessed to the crime.
