Mysuru: Youth sustains injuries in yet another leopard attack at Bannur

Mysuru: A leopard attacked and injured a youth at Bannur of T Narasipura Taluk here.
The youth injured in the wildcat attack has been identified as Satish of Nuggahalli Koppalu Village.
The leopard suddenly attacked him on Sunday evening when he was on his way to the fields. He fought the leopard and escaped with injuries.
Satish has been admitted to the government hospital. Meanwhile, the leopard has disappeared.
It is suspected that the leopard is the same one that attacked and killed 2 others in the recent past. Two college students were killed in leopard attacks on October 30 and December 1 in Bannur area.
Thereafter, the forest department officials launched an operation to capture the leopard. However, even after 18 days, the leopard still remains elusive.
