Manipal: Wildfire breaks out in Manchi; no casualties reported

Manipal: A wildfire broke out in Manchi Rajivnagar of Badagabettu village on Tuesday afternoon. However, no casualties were reported.
The embers from the wildfire spread to the surrounding areas destroying several acacia trees and wooden logs. A thick blanket of smoke engulfed the village as the fire continued to rage.
Fire personnel who arrived at the spot managed to douse the fire.
