Tax evasion allegations: IT raids at properties owned by Sriramulu

Bellary: Income tax officials, on Saturday, raided the residence and offices of a industrialist who ran a factory reportedly owned by Minister B Sriramulu and his nephew former MLA T H Suresh Babu on allegations of tax evasion.

A team of 15 officers from Bengaluru and Chennai raided the properties in Bengaluru, Ballari, and Koppal reportedly belonging to industrialist Kailash Vyas.

It is said that documents were perused at two flats at Raaga Fort Apartment in Ballari’s Vidyanagar.

It is learnt that Vyas had got the factory owned by Sriramulu and his nephew Suresh Babu, on lease.
