Trader assaulted at Vitla temple fair, main accused arrested

Vitla: Police have arrested some of the accused in connection with the attack on a trader at a fair in Vitla.
A trader, who had set up shop with necessary permissions, at the fair of the Vitla Sri Panchalingeshwara Temple had been assaulted by a group of youths when the shop was being closed at around midnight. A case had been registered against Ganesh Kadambu, Manjunath, and four others at the Vitla police station.
Of the accused, Ganesh Kadumbu has been arrested. Another accused Harshith was arrested from Mangaluru. He was involved in several criminal cases, police said.
Another accused, Manjunath is said to be hiding somewhere in Kerala, and efforts are on to trace him, police added.
