Instagram travel offer: B’luru Woman scammed of Rs 60k

In yet another case of cyber fraud a woman was scammed of Rs 60,000 on pretext of an interstate vacation trip at a low price.

The victim Hemalatha, a resident of Magadi Main Road had come across an Instagram account called 360 Vacations which offered interstate vacation trips at economical prices.

Hemalatha called on the number mentioned in their profile to inquire about the same. A person who answered the call identified himself as the director of 360 vacations company and convinced Hemalatha to book their travel offer.

As per his advise, Hemalatha made an online transfer of Rs 60,ooo to the bank account provided by the person. He however was unreachable after this.

Upon realisation that she had been taken for a ride by cyber-thieves Hemalatha registered a case.
