Karnataka budget presentation on July 7: CM Siddaramaiah

The state budget session is set to kick off on July 3rd, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who also holds the finance portfolio claiming that the budget will be presented on the 7th.
During a press conference on Monday, the Chief Minister revealed that the governor would address the joint session on the inaugural day of the budget session.
Following the governor’s speech, discussions would ensue, leading up to the budget presentation on Friday, July 7. As of now, no preliminary meetings have taken place, making it difficult to ascertain the exact size of the budget.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah highlighted that the previous BJP government had presented a budget of 2.43 lakh before the elections.
The Chief Minister mentioned conducting a video conference with the District Collector and the GP CEO, instructing them to take necessary measures regarding the distribution of fertilizer seeds, considering the onset of the rainy season.
Moreover, officials have been alerted to be prepared for potential flood situations and to take prompt action if required.
He further said that the cabinet would discuss the withdrawal of the Cow Slaughter Act.
