In a heartwarming gesture, a powerman rescued a pigeon that was stuck on the power transmission wire here on Saturday, September 2 at Kadaba.

As per reports, the pigeon had a plastic rope tangled in its leg and was struggling for over an hour.

Seeing this, locals notified lineman PJ Gurumurthy who swiftly swung into action by cutting off the power supply to the pole. He then climbed the electric pole and rescued the pigeon by cutting the plastic rope from its legs. He was helped by locals.

Public praised Gurumurthy for the humane gesture.
