Inter-district bike thieves arrested by Moodbidri Police

In a successful operation, the Uttara Kannada District and Moodbidri police arrested two inter-district thieves on Friday, October 27. The thieves were wanted for the theft of two motorcycles, valued at Rs. 1,80,000.
The arrested individuals were identified as Akash Kalki from Kodavati village near Anjaneya Temple in Tumkur district and Virendra from Beerganahalli, also near Anjaneya Temple.
The arrest came following the theft of a bike and a Royal Enfield Classic 350, which occurred on the 10th of October. The stolen vehicles had been taken from the parking area of Arhat Apartment, located in front of Jain PU College in Marpadi village, under the jurisdiction of Moodbidire police station.
The police apprehended the suspects while they were attempting to flee on a two-wheeler. The accused individuals were subsequently detained and interrogated.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Mangalore City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, with the support of DCPs Siddhartha Goyal and Dinesh Kumar, as well as Mangalore North Sub Division ACP Manoj Kumar Naik.
