Haveri: DKS slaps party worker during poll campaign, video goes viral

A video of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar slapping a party leader during an election campaigning has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place in Haveri’s Savannur last night when Shivakumar was campaigning for Vinod Asuti, the party candidate from Dharwad constituency.

Party workers were shouting slogans of “DK, DK” as he arrived for the campaign. As soon as Shivakumar got down from his car, Allauddin Maniyar, a local council member kept his hand on the deputy CM’s shoulder.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, DK Shivakumar is seen slapping the leader for his act.

It is gathered that Allaudin was briefly detained by the police.
