Chikkamagaluru: Two Dakshina Kannada natives miraculously escaped after the Scorpio vehicle fell into a 400 feet trench in Charmadi Ghat on Thursday morning after fog interrupted the driver.

In the early morning at around 05.00 AM the car was plying from Hassan to Mangaluru and it met the accident near Annappa temple located in Charmadi Ghat as fog made the road invisible to the driver. Sullia based Guru and Belthangady based Lohith survived with minor injuries and are being treated at a hospital  in Mangaluru. A case stands registered at Banakalu police station on the incident.
