Belagavi District Administration Issues High Alert as Heavy Rains Lash Maharashtra

Belgavi: Belagavi district administration has declared high alert in the regions where the people residing on the banks of River Krishna in the district following heavy rainfall activities in Maharashtra during the last two to three days. The district administration has also asked the people to remain cautious and should prepare for any emergency condition. 

In the last 24 hours, coastal areas in Maharashtra recorded heavy to extremely heavy rains, whereas the interior regions witnessed moderate showers with some heavy spells. In the time span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on July 02 to July 03, Dahanu recorded 116 mm of rainfall followed by Mahabaleswar 77 mm, Mumbai 49 mm, Nashik 45 mm, Yeotmal 29 mm, Akola 29 mm, Amraoti 29 mm, Nagpur 25 mm and Aurangabad 15 mm.
