Poison Sprayed to Sweet Corn Crop Kills More than 35 Bulls in Karnataka

Bellary: More than 35 bulls reportedly lost their lives after consuming poison at Hirehadagali in Bellary district on Thursday. According to the sources, the bulls met their tragic end after consuming sweet corn crop which sprayed with poisonous pesticide intentionally. The bulls used to destroy the crops grown by the farmers in the area and such a bullish nature might have forced the land owners to spray poison to their crops with an intention to kill the cattle, sources said.
The bulls released by their owners in the name of God. The cattle turned into street bulls harming the corps of the farmers in the village for the past several years. Earlier, taluk administration tried to send the bulls to the concerned cowsheds of the region. However, the authorities failed in their attempt.
As many as 28 Desi bulls killed in the incident. The locals, farmers in large number arrived at spots where bulls lost the lives. The people have urged the authorities to punish the persons behind the death of innocent animals immediately.
