Karnataka CM Urges Union Minister to Raise Coal Supply, Allocate Additional Coal Blocks

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called on Union Minister for Power R K Singh in New Delhi on October 12 and sought his intervention for increasing coal supply and allocation additional of coal blocks. Chief Minister has also urged the minister for his support for funds to establish Pumped Storage Plant at Sharavathi and grant-in-aid, viability gap funding for meeting the revised environmental norms issued by the Union Ministry of Environment.
Karnataka Energy Minister DK Shivakumar, the Additional Special Representative to Government of Karnataka in New Delhi Saleem Ahmed, the Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the Department of Energy P Ravikumar and the Managing Director of the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited G Kumar Naik were also present on the occasion.
