Hubbali: Mahadayi Horata Samithi staged a ‘rasta roko’ for seven hours on the Hubbali-Vijayapura highway on Saturday.

The protestors held the road block with tree branches and burnt tyres. They also took out processions singing bhajans and shouting slogans against the government and requested shops on the highway to shut down.

People who had to travel on this road took alternative routes and reached Vijayapura hours later.
